Statement

I am an artist in the small rural community of Almont,
North Dakota. Much of this area is found in my paintings.
I love to paint and most anything will strike my fancy from
wildlife to florals. Painting and drawing are a part of my
life. If I never sold another painting or entered another art
show I would still be drawing or painting in some form,
even if its doodles on the phone book.
Over the years I have developed my own style of using a
pen and colored ink, doing a form of stippling or pointillism,
layering dots of color over each other. I also love pastels and
work a lot in that medium.
A friend and I are putting together a show of Missouri River
paintings that we have spent the past three summers developing.
One day a week finds us on the riverbank somewhere in the
state, painting in the Plain Air.
