Statement

Traveling to new locations rich in history with something
visually new or interesting for me to see is what I look for
when painting on the spot. These paintings are objective,
about the location, it's inhabitants, and it's past. Using ink,
charcoal, pastels, gouache, acrylics and oil, I seek to capture
the color and light at that specific time. Back home in my
studio, using the experiences of being at that specific loca-
tion, socializing and moving among the inhabitants, I come
at paintings with more subjective or personal approach to
painting. Every piece I do is a new experience for me, and
hopefully the viewer as well.
