April's Fire
watercolor
24" x 10"

Statement

Flynn uses hard surfaced illustration paper to create
her watercolor studies. Using a representational style,
and a nontraditional technique, Flynn sees the ethereal
light used by the 19th Century Norwegian masters to
achieve the intensity of color and variety of light that
marks her work.
In the 1990s, she was one of the 51 artists from
across the United States and Puerto Rico who were
commissioned by Carillon Importers, makers of Absolut
vodka, to raise funds for the fight against AIDS.
