1989.
The center was funded and constructed with private donations. The permanent
exhibit (of the homestead era) was researched and developed by the association.
In addition a church, school, community hall & log cabin have been
moved and
restored at the site. All the buildings serve as exhibits and are functional
whereby
they can be rented for special occasions. The Northeast North Dakota Heritage
Association hosts at least four exhibits yearly. Special events are the
Rendezvous
Festival in June, the Christmas open house in November and a yearly Artists
Festival. Group tours are available April 15-October 15. There are two
meeting
rooms available for rental.
