Artist Statement

Bloomkin is a collection of creative family endeavors, a multimedia expression of eight people living
together and making together. For an artist, the family can be both the support and the hinderance to
producing and achieving, and Bloomkin celebrates the “limitations” and redeems the hours “lost” in
pursuing outward/career accomplishment. Get creative, crawl into our blanket fort and spend some
time with our family.​

Artist Bio

Micah Bloom is in artist living and working in North Dakota. Micah received his Master of Fine Arts (Painting and Drawing - minor in Printmaking) from the University of Iowa. He makes art in many modes and media, and co-directs the printmaking-focused Flat Tail Press. Surrounded by creative minds, Micah and his wife, Sara, share four daughters and two sons, and they all love to make things.​
