Who We Are

Art plays a vital role in enriching North Dakota communities by fostering cultural identity, promoting creativity, and enhancing the quality of life for residents. It serves as a medium for expression and dialogue, allowing individuals to connect with their heritage and share their stories. Through galleries, public art installations, and community events, art brings people together, creating a sense of belonging and pride. Additionally, it supports local economies by attracting tourism and providing opportunities for artists to showcase their work. In this way, the arts not only beautify our surroundings but also strengthen community bonds and encourage collaboration among residents and organizations.

Our member galleries are the foundation of our organization. Each fall, NDAGA hosts an annual gathering where gallery representatives review submitted exhibits by regional artists. They then select which exhibits they would like to host over the next two years. This annual meeting also provides a valuable opportunity for networking with other galleries and professionals, as well as attending workshops and engaging in professional development.
